Step-by-Step Guide to Your Trading Journey

At Alertus Trading, we’ve streamlined the process to get you set up quickly and efficiently. Follow these steps to start using our powerful trading system.

Step 1: Click the Call-to-Action Button

Look for the green “REQUEST FREE SOFTWARE” button on our website and click it to begin.

Step 2: Complete the Questionnaire

To ensure we provide the best experience, you’ll need to fill out a short form covering:
✔ Your trading history and experience level
✔ Your reasons for trading and goals
✔ Your current IT setup (PC, Mac, internet speed, etc.)
✔ Your contact details, including a valid phone number

Step 3: Software Demonstration & Introduction

Once you’ve submitted the form, a member of the Alertus Trading team will contact you. During this step:
✔ We introduce ourselves and provide a full show-and-tell demonstration of the software
✔ We walk you through how the system works and how it helps identify trading opportunities
✔ The demonstration can be done remotely via Anydesk, TeamViewer, or Microsoft Teams

Step 4: Sign Up as an Alertus Trading Member

To access all the tools and training, you’ll need to sign up as a member on the Alertus Trading website. This includes:
✔ Digitally signing the End User License Agreement (EULA)
✔ Receiving links and guidance to create your TradeNation account
✔ Funding your TradeNation account with a minimum of R4,000 – This amount is your own and remains in your account. You can withdraw it at any time. However, we ask that you fund your account to demonstrate commitment to your trading journey.
✔ How much do you actually need to start trading live? – While the minimum funding requirement is R4,000, we recommend starting with R20,000 when you transition to live trading. This is a solid entry point that allows you to trade effectively while managing risk and maximizing returns.

Step 5: Access the Members-Only Training & Resources

As a registered Alertus Trading member, you’ll unlock access to our restricted members’ area, where you’ll find:
✔ Training videos on using the Alertus Trading system
✔ Step-by-step guides on executing trades and reading charts

Step 6: Start Trading

Each trader’s journey is different. The time it takes to transition from demo trading to live trading depends on your experience, confidence, and level of training.

✔ Some traders go live within a few weeks
✔ Others prefer to stay in the demo environment for two to three months to build confidence

Confidence is key to trading success, so take the time you need to master the system before switching to a live account.

Once you’re ready to go live, we recommend funding your TradeNation account with an amount you feel comfortable with. While you can start with any amount, R20,000 is a good starting point for new traders to ensure effective trade execution and risk management.
